U.S./China Environmental Education Exchange
Day 3: A Day at School JournalPhotos: Baird Middle School | Introduction to Exchange
Their families drove them to school in the morning, and the Chinese students joined their individual school "ambassadors" in their classes for the morning. Baird Middle School is unique for a middle school because it has grades 5,6,7, and 8. Its emphasis is on technology, foreign language, and agriculture. All students take classes in all three areas in addition to the regular curriculum. The Chinese teachers and government officials were led on a tour of Baird Middle School by principal Diane Parrish. They saw the Baird students in action filling in raised garden beds. There was also a stop in the technology room and two classrooms. Photos: Baird Middle School | Introduction to Exchange
