In the afternoon, the group went out to the San Joaquin River for a greeting by the superintendent, a tour of the house, and canoe trip on the river.

The San Joaquin River was badly abused for many years. It has been going through renovation for many years, and now it is a lovely and clean place for families to spend time.

Canoeing was a unique experience for all the of the students. This was the first time any of them had paddled a canoe, and they had a blast!
