Day 6 Shambala Photos | Introduction to Exchange

The afternoon was spent out at a game preserve near Los Angeles. The group got a private tour with Tippy, the director for the Roar Foundation that funds the preserve.

They take in big cats from private owners, circuses, and trainers that can no longer handle them or take care of them. They have over 60 cats and about 10 staff. One of the most unique animals they have is the "liger" -- a cross between a lion and a tiger. There were also lions, tigers, cheetahs, lynx, black leopard, snow leopard, jungle cats, and even an elephant.
